As a young man, my parents (both educators) made sacrifices to budget family adventures including trips for myself and brother. This taught me a number of things, but the most important was how love gives abundantly and pays it forward. My parents knew what they were investing in - a life made to see and experience God through the world around me. As a father, I want to do that for my children too. As Founder and Director of Ascent, the desire is for every young person who truly wants to participate will be able to.

Ascent understands the sacrifice that families make to provide outdoor opportunities for their child(ren). That’s why Ascent provides a scholarship based on a tier design for assistance.
